Hefring: [transl.:] The Rising One
Hefring is the only known gas giant to support life, and is the second largest world in the Ran star system. Its unique biosphere was originally discovered by the Grand Tour Probe.
A prominent feature of the local ecosystem is the so-called Wubs - gigantic, balloon-like creatures floating in the planet´s upper atmosphere.
From 66 CE until 1215 CE the Hefring planetary system had a significant human population, spread over three artificial habitats: the Bawor Settlement, the Baworan Arcology and the Althiofi Mines. The Baworan people were descendants of Hroenn´s space industry culture.
Human occupation ceased with the conclusion of the Baworan War.
